Rosa Shakur combines elegant art and politics and presents a calming, energized sound experience that should instigate change. Her music floats between the spheres of pop, free jazz, rock, funk, Afro-logical improvisation and politics.
Frau Sammer has many voices: she has a synthesizer and a bass and she just wants to play them – unabashed, but not without tact. She doesn’t ask for permission, but she is asking for a lot. Is this pop or pre-pop? Can we just leave it at that?
