Say My Name, Say My Name

In the mid-1980s, Donna Haraway prophesised that hybrid beings – cyborgs – would overcome sexism and racism. Today, the female voices of Siri and Alexa are still being used as artificial everyday assistants for "care work," while their counterparts with male voices are used in the medical and financial sector. Time for a reboot: artificial intelligences, gender-fluid robots and (humanoid) dancers of colour come together to create their own scenarios for cross-species coexistence.

Olivia Hyunsin Kim works as choreographer, performer and curator in Berlin, Frankfurt and Seoul. As founder of the network ddanddarakim, she works in various constellations with artists from a variety of disciplines and backgrounds. Together, they create choreographies that mainly deal with the themes of post-colonialism and intersectional feminism by employing multiple narratives and hybrid stories.
